My Lady was included in the Winter Exhibition of the Victorian Artists Society in 1904.
It is a less formal work, where Josephine was able to make full use of her loose, expressionist brushwork and textured paint surface.
It is now part of the collection at the Art Gallery of Ballarat, where it serves as a companion piece to Gypsy Belle and shows the development of Josephine’s style over time.
