Sir James Duhig (1871–1965) was an Irish-born Australian Roman Catholic religious leader. He served as the Archbishop of Brisbane for 48 years, from 1917 to 1965. At the time of his death, he was the longest-serving bishop in the Catholic Church, having served from 1905 to 1965.
This is Josephine’s last known commission which, as reported in the Catholic Press, she was working on in 1920.
