Another landscape of Coolgardie, where Josephine was visiting her brother Edwin Parnell Muntz – a civil engineer on the West Australian goldfields – and his family in 1897.
The two young girls depicted in this artwork are Josephine’s nieces, Mabel and Hilda, who are also featured in Afghan Trader.
A companion to this piece, Sunlight, Coolgardie, is held by the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
